To obtain your Forklift License in Victoria, you will need to pass both a practical and theory test.

Forklift Licence Victoria - The Theoretical Assesment

The Forklift Licence study guide consists of a pool of 97 questions. Of these 97 questions you can expect to find 52 of these questions on the theoretical assesment examination.

Included in the 52 assesment questions will be 30 critical questions (marked with a star) which must be answered 100% correctly.

The Forklift Licence theory assessment is a "closed book" assessment which can be completed written or orally if preferred. It is not a multiple-choice assessment and questions are in the short answer format.

Forklift Licence Victoria - Application Fee

If you pass both the practical and theoretical components of the assessment you will be issued on-the-spot with a “Notice of Assessment”, an interim license, valid for 60 days.

Within this 60 day period, you will need to submit your application and application fee of $60 to Worksafe Victoria in order to process the full licence and application.

Worksafe Victoria will then send your Forklift Licence upon processing.
